Up In Your Basement Records was founded by Lenny Diko in 2002 and used as a medium to release several cdr mixtapes until 2004 where it released it's first official manufactured pressing of Aria Silenced's LP "Refuge For Dissappearing Milkmen", UIYB records then went on to be one of Vancouver's leading independent record labels releasing projects all over the world and booking tours for it's artists.

UIYB ran Vancouver's only "HIP HOP OPEN MIC" at the Columbia Hotel from 2005 - 2006, and then moving over to the Cobalt in 2007 before it's retirement.

Being known as one of Vancouver's leading booking agents, UIYB has booked tours and shows for the likes of, Moka Only, Living Legends, Josh Martinez, DJ Moves, DJ Maker, Live Manikins, and many many more independent hip hop artists... UIYB artists have worked along side and performed with some of the world's greatest talent including Swollen Members, Danny Fernandez, Jedi Mind Tricks, DL Incognito, Classified, Obie Trice, Ill Mindz, Action Fire, and many more....

In 2010 UIYB Records partnered with Step up Promotions and is now expanding residence to the United States as well as Europe.
